As the hot summer sun sets and the fever of the crowd begins to settle down, the Bikini Week VIPs and Invite Only guests will be heading to the chic new hotel in the Gaslamp, Sè San Diego Hotel. Get your lounge gear together because you’ll be taking a beautiful elevator ride to Sirèn the elegant rooftop pool and bar. This will be a chance for industry professionals, sponsors, designers, and media to do their “meet and greet”. Special house DJs will create the ambience for the mixing and mingling and San Diego’s own Francisco Medavog will showcase his own one of kind couture line of bikinis and hand made haute couture pieces by Micha Design Jewelry just for the VIP attendees. These two local gems will excite your senses! And don’t forget to show off that tan line for a photo op in the Sexiest Tan Line photo box.
Stingaree Nightclub & Restaurant will be the next stop for the Bikini Week crowd. The legendary stories of the Stingaree District will be relived as the bikini models dressed in the edgy bikini designs from Los Angeles, Orange County, and Las Vegas. While on the rooftop, look up towards the night sky to view the bikinis on our rocked out models that will be showing their moves on the specially designed sky-way runway. DJs will be spinning mash-ups on all 3 levels of the club. Special food enticements from one of San Diego’s top chefs will be offered for all to enjoy (8-10pm). Throughout the night performances by body painters and renowned Illusionist Nick Ivory will astound you with their fascinating art and magic. The Ivy Hotel, in all its splendor, will host the third night of summer fashion styles. There are four spectacular levels to explore: The Ivy Hotel’s Quarter Kitchen, Ultra Lounge, Club Envy, and Ivy Rooftop. Chef Nathan Coulon has the perfect lineup of savory bites that will excite your palette. Stop in early to experience his delightful pleasures. The Ultra Lounge, Club Envy, and Ivy Rooftop will be bustling with photographers taking shots of more Bikini Week models previewing looks for Saturday’s main stage. There will be a professional photo shoot and a full paparazzi flare taking over the Ivy Rooftop. Recognized as San Diego’s most progressive style team, A Style Concierge will be added to the mix to style your hair and makeup. With your new style upgrade you can jump in front of the photographer’s lens and feel what it’s like to be a super model. And again, you will have another chance to show off your tan line for the Sexiest Tan Line photo box. Expect an amazing night in one of San Diego’s premier hotels.
The Hard Rock Hotel San Diego will be the main stage and runway for Bikini Week 2009. Our elite designers will be showing off their hottest looks at Float in the Hard Rock. The elaborate stage will be filled with a variety of musical talent and model styling with hair & makeup by A Style Concierge design team. The action will be split by an extended runway for all of the VIPs to see. You’ll have your best chance to see how amazing the designer lines look and then be able to mosey over to the Designer Retail Lounge to buy your favorite pick. Expect a star studded crowd of designers, celebrities, buyers, boutique owners, media, and paparazzi, filling the vast space at Float. The San Diego skyline will capture your eye and the roar from Petco Park where the Padres will be hosting the LA Dodgers for a day game, will be ringing in your ear. On this special day we will also announce the winner of the All American Bikini Girl (AABG) contest. She will be filled with joy as we all celebrate the All American winner on the All American holiday. Go U.S.A! Along with the parade of runway beauties and the AABG contest winner, you can check out the relaxing pool and dance to the beats of the region’s greatest DJs. Plenty of cocktails to enjoy and plenty sponsor booths to visit, it will be a grand event, and everything that you would expect from Bikini Week.
This day will be for San Diegan’s to show off their best. Our local bikini designers will be out in full force. On this special day the rest of the country will see how vibrant our fashion, style, and culture, exists here in San Diego. The W Hotel will host our final day of Bikini Week and we have saved our local’s best for last. America’s Finest City will boast of its spectacular 5 days of Fashion and complete the week with music, models, and yet more bikinis. There will be 3 levels of fun inside of the W Hotel. As you enter this beautiful venue you will see Magnet lounge, Wet- Outdoor Pool, and the sand filled W Beach Bar on the rooftop.
